React Admin Dashboard Build

An internal dashboard in React with role-based access, real tables and filters, built against your existing API.

Delivered in

25 working days

One round, included

Ownership

Yours from day one

Overview

What this engagement is

Internal tools tend to be the last thing anyone funds and the first thing everyone complains about. We build a React dashboard on top of the API you already have, with the parts that make internal software bearable: server-side pagination that survives 200,000 rows, filters that persist in the URL, exports that do not time out, and role-based access so support staff cannot see finance. Up to twelve screens are included. State is handled with TanStack Query, and the component library is documented so your team can add screen thirteen themselves.

Deliverables

What lands in your repositories

7 items
  • React application covering up to 12 screens with routing and auth
  • Role-based access control mapped to your existing user roles
  • Data tables with server-side pagination, sorting, filtering and CSV export
  • Reusable component library documented in Storybook
  • Form validation and error states written for every mutation
  • Build pipeline and staging deployment
  • Handover walkthrough with your in-house developers

Outcomes

What changes once it ships

Staff stop exporting to spreadsheets to get their work done

New screens cost hours rather than weeks once the library exists

Permissions are enforced in one place instead of scattered through the code

Process

How the 4 stages run

  1. 01

    Mapping

we list the screens, roles and API endpoints, and flag the gaps

  2. 02

    Foundation

auth, layout, routing and the shared component set are built first

  3. 03

    Screens

screens are delivered in batches of four for your review

  4. 04

    Handover

code walkthrough, documentation and a support window of ten days

Booked most often by

  • Operations teams running the business out of spreadsheets
  • Companies with a solid backend API and no usable front end
  • Startups replacing an admin panel that has outgrown its scaffolding

What we need from you

  • API documentation, or an endpoint we can inspect with sample credentials
  • A decision-maker who can approve screen designs quickly
  • Your list of user roles and what each one may see

These are collected in the technical brief that opens in your dashboard the moment payment clears. The clock starts when they arrive, not before.

Answers

Questions this engagement raises

We will tell you during mapping and either scope the missing endpoints as backend work or build against a documented mock until they exist.

No. Everything is written with open-source libraries, so there are no licence fees you inherit.

Yes. Multiple services are common and we handle them through a single typed API layer.

This is engineering work, not a physical product — nothing ships and there is no stock to run out of. Delivery is to the working days stated above, into systems you control, and the refund terms set out what happens if we miss the date.
