Most dashboard projects fail because they show everything. We start from the five decisions your leadership makes each month and build backwards. Metabase is installed and connected to your warehouse or read replica, a governed model layer is set up so filters behave sensibly, and four dashboards are built with the definitions agreed in writing first. Row-level permissions keep salary data away from the sales team. Scheduled email digests go out on Monday mornings so the numbers reach people who never log in.

Metabase is open source, cheap to run and enough for most teams. If you are committed to the Microsoft stack we will build the same thing in Power BI.

Only through a read replica. Reporting queries on a primary database cause outages, and we will not set that up.

Small datasets work directly off a replica. Beyond that, the warehouse package comes first.
